Hi

From the department head to the CIO, everyone is currently feeling the same pressure: We need to do something with AI now.

Proof-of-concepts are being launched, pilot projects announced – but key questions remain. Uncertainties remain and uncertainties persist. Can we trust AI? How do we explain its decisions? And who ultimately retains control?

This is precisely where our webinar comes in: Together with Prof. Dr. Ute Schmid (University of Bamberg) and our CEO Thomas Gomell, we will look at Behind the buzzwords and discuss how to get LLMs and AI so to ensure that explainability, trust, and controllability are not lost along the way.

Your benefits as a participant

✅ Quick classification instead of AI hype: You will learn when and how LLMs can be used responsibly in your company – and when they cannot.
✅ Concrete guidelines for AI projects:
They take away clear food for thought regarding governance, monitoring and human-in-the-loop approaches.
✅ Guidance for your data strategy: You will receive inspiration on how to combine data quality, knowledge retention and sustainable information architecture.
✅ First-hand insights: They benefit from the combination of current AI research (Prof. Schmid) and practical implementation in the company (Thomas Gomell).

Here's what you can expect in the webinar

Join us as two AI experts discuss the latest developments. Opportunities and challenges discuss the use of AI in companies.

  • Explainable AI & Guarantees: Where do we need comprehensible explanations and firm commitments – and where is “probabilistic” AI sufficient?

  • Hallucinations & Human-in-the-Loop: How do you deal with rare but serious errors by LLMs? What monitoring and control mechanisms are appropriate?

  • Practice framework with knowledge graphs: How a corporate “brain” based on knowledge graphs forces LLMs to use real context from databases and current sources.

  • Sustainable handling of data & AI: Why data quality is often more important than "more and more data" – and how you can rethink knowledge retention (e.g., during the baby boomer retirement wave).

  • Research vs. Big Tech: A look behind the scenes: How pace, resources and publication pressure shape university AI research – and what that means for your projects.

Your speaker Prof. Dr. Ute Schmid from the University of Bamberg:

"A prerequisite for the use of AI is the development of AI literacy – that is, a sound understanding of the differences between AI and classical software, the functioning of learning models and their unavoidable susceptibility to errors, in order to make reflective, “calibrated“To be able to develop trust in AI systems.”"

Prof. Dr. Ute Schmid holds the Chair of Cognitive Systems at the Otto-Friedrich University of Bamberg. Her research focuses on artificial intelligence, and she has served as Managing Director of the Bamberg Center for Artificial Intelligence (BaCAI) since its founding in 2023. From 2020 to 2025, she also led the Comprehensible Artificial Intelligence project group at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits.

Your speaker Thomas Gomell, Enterprise Architect & CEO:

"Those who don't act now will lose. Every company must integrate AI into its processes in the coming years if it doesn't want to go under. The question won't be whether to use AI, but how. That's what we should be talking about.""

Thomas Gomell has been managing national and international projects in the field of process optimization for 15 years and knows how large companies operate. With explainable AI, he aims to build trust in companies and make knowledge universally usable.chen and increase productivity. To this end, he is currently driving the development of aikux.Brain Ahead.
